A super-speedy Sims 3 rainbow uglacy!

4. It was all yellow

Hooray!  Cricket Ball has become the first ever member of the Knight family to max a skill (martial arts).

I consider that worthy of a point!  He’s only about level 6 in athletics, though, so that LTW seems somewhat elusive.

Claire would be doing better at her LTW if the wretched old folk of Twinbrook didn’t keep dying in the middle of chess matches.

The Knights finally had a couple of thousand simoleans in cash, so I threw it away on an attempt to get Kia-Ora his photography collection LTW by sending him travelling.

It was quite fun to go exploring again, even if it means letting myself in for a whole heap of glitchtastic fun when the journeys are over.

I hate it when chess opponents don’t come over, but at least Marcy and Claire can play against each other.

I bought a second chess table so they could play at the same time, despite us having precious little cash with Kia-Ora’s galavanting nearly breaking the bank, and literally the first time both tables were in use, this happened.  Thanks, Claire.

‘Can I die yet?’

Your level 7 athletic skill says no.

OrangeWeds is pregnant.  The orange boys are all married to/dating elderly women, though, so no babies from them.

This is Jeremy, Red Nose Day’s youngest.  I’m not sure I’ll be able to keep track of all Dark’s descendants throughout the legacy – already random townies keep emerging with Knight in their hybrid surnames and I can’t work out how/if they’re related to the family.

Anyway, onto the yellow babies.

Cricket Ball doesn’t exactly look thrilled to be a grandfather, but don’t believe him – he wants five grandkids.  In the background is Marcy’s mum, autonomously giving childcare = ❤

Here the twins are as toddlers – the girl is called Funshine

And if that didn’t date me, this will…

The boy is called Wizbit.

(Actually I think Funshine Bear predates Wizbit, but anyway).

I invited everyone over for the twins’ birthday.  Irn Bru’s elderly partner has died.  Fingers crossed he can meet someone of his own age now.

Even though Marcy’s pregnant for the second time with Kia-Ora’s progeny she’s still technically been going out with this fella.

Not any more, though.

Married just in time to give birth again…

…to Marmite Lid

…and Birds Custard

Four kids is plenty for this generation, methinks, even if yellow is my favourite colour so I’d be tempted to try for more.

Cricket Ball just managed to get his five grandkids (OrangeWeds has a daughter called Anastasia) before popping his clogs.  He didn’t get his LTW, but he was 32, which is an eternity in this kind of legacy.

Two seconds later, Mars also died, 16/20 towards her LTW 😦

All the kids had birthdays – here’s Wizbit…

…Funshine…

…Birds Custard…

…and Marmite Lid.

I don’t think they’re quite a match for Orange gen, but they do seem to have some interesting genetics.

We never manage to full train the toddlers, but I let Marcy and Kia-Ora train them in the things they’ve rolled up wants for in order to gain some LTH.

Speaking of LTH, Cricket Ball racked up enough for us to get, and sell, a body shaper, so we used the proceeds to buy some more furniture for our all!  new!  upstairs (well new as of late-orange gen, but still) and to send Kia-Ora travelling again.  As well as getting his requisite ten (minimum) photos in each location, he’s been doing missions – if you’re canny you can make enough money travelling to not only cover the expenses but make a decent profit.  The downside is it feels a bit like a drag to play 6 days of travelling (he has the perks to extend it) when 6 days is the whole of a YA’s lifespan.

Kia-Ora eats way more fancy food abroad than at home.  I refuse to buy the Knights a cooker at the moment – it’s a waste of valuable money.

I got a bit bored by day 4 so sent him home.

Wizbit has taken a vague interest in cookery, though, possibly because of the lack of grown-up oven.

Unsurprisingly, the townies couldn’t be bothered with his wares.

The kids are mostly left on freewill, which is why things like this occur…

Cindy, the pink-haired black-skinned friend of Gen Orange, is dating a man with pink skin and black hair.  Awesome!  After being beaten at chess, she decided to autonomously sit with Birds custard when she was playing.  Cute!

Birthday time!  Here’s Marmite Lid…

…Birds Custard…

…Wizbit…

…and Funshine.  The two older kids’ childhood took place on a Saturday and a Sunday so all four will be experiencing their first day of school together.

Time for the traditional school mate-hunt.  This is Anastasia, OrangeWeds’s daughter.  So she’s not mate-eligible but at some point the gene pool will be depleted enough that her descendants will be possibilities…

Hmmm.  Too normal.

Cindy’s son Mauricio is a possible catch for the girls…

…whilst Kellee Bayless-Wuoys (daughter of Kelsey and Turq from the last chapter) is my clear favourite for a spouse.

We invited Anastasia over for her yellow makeover.  OrangeWeds and her husband have another daughter now, whose name I forget and we have yet to meet.

I sent Marmite Lid to do one of those opportunities at the supermarket, where I got him making friends with Mauricio and some other townie kid was staring at them like a creep.

Kia-Ora: ‘Heeeeey, I’m old now.  Can Wizbit take over now?’

No – not least because he’s essentially your clone and therefore not my favourite for heir.

And you have to go to France.

Yay, birthday time!  Birds Custard is a bit of a daddy clone, too.

I then aged up the wrong brother by mistake.  Oops.

Nice shot of the other three waving their brother into teenhood…

…and here is Marmite Lid.

I think the kids are all pretty equally un/attractive.  They’re not perhaps as genetically challenged as Orange gen but they’ve all got something distinctive about them.

Let’s be honest, though, it’s all about the spouse and so I’m choosing Marmite Lid to go and woo Kellee.

They haven’t quite mastered the art of kissing yet.

I thought I’d clicked on ‘make out’ as that’s what he wanted, but I must have clicked the option next to it.  Oops.  I guess teens proposing is something with the Woohooer mod?  She said no anyway.

Funshine was next to age up.  She wanted to be a one-sim band, whilst Wizbit has designs on becoming an astronaut…

…and since we had an attempted burglary, the younger twins want to become DNA thingymajigs.

I moved the older two kids out now I’d decided Marmite Lid was going to be the heir.  I think Marmite Lid has a bit of both parents in him, but Birds Custard is definitely a daddy’s girl.

Marcy chose to celebrate her birthday and the youngest two’s passage into adulthood by pulling a very uglacy face.

Of course it wasn’t just the twins who needed to age up…

Uh-oh.

Birds Custard: ‘Yay, birthday!’

Kia-Ora: ‘Double Uh-Oh’.  He was bang on 25 and probably quite some way off his LTW, it’s hard to tell.

Fortunately Wizbit and Lancashire’s son Dexter were on hand to deal with the fire, which went on FOREVER…

…because the fire brigade clearly couldn’t be bothered.

I am so glad Kellee isn’t dead!

Although the twins aged up amid the fire chaos (Kellee didn’t, but the game aged her up when she went home), no-one registered any acknowledgement of Kia-Ora’s death and his ghost just hung around.  So I used resetsim on him…

The game reset him to the start of his elder age bar, which was very kind of it.  Five more days to try and get that LTW…

Here’s Birds Custard as a YA…

…and here’s Marmite Lid.  His traits are Vehicle Enthusiast (we haven’t bought a car but we seem to own one – I think Marcy may have brought it with her), Artistic, Ambitious, Athletic and Friendly.  I’ll put all the others’ traits up on their profiles.

He and Kellee decided to usher in the next generation with Birds Custard still in the room.  Classy.

With a successful lullaby, I also managed to get them married.

Birds Custard was sent on her merry way to allow room for babies.  I am considering five babies this time around if we can get a set of triplets out of them.

Dammit, Kellee (who wants to be the Empress of Evil, by the way.  Hahahahahaha), why must you look quite pretty from the side view?

Join us next time for Green generation!

  1. Marmite lids are red here LOL. I kinda love the differences between colours of different things in different places.

7 is pretty good for going on the shortest life span. I think it would drive me bonkers.

Marmite lids are red there? Well what colour are your Bovril lids then??

Essentially you just end up letting the sims be free and easy on short lifespan, as they can’t get much done.

  2. I normally don’t read speedy legacies, but I started to read yours today. I’m really enjoying it! You know how to keep it entertaining at top speed.

I’m looking forward to the next generation!

Me too… though I didn’t play any further than this so no idea how they’ll turn out!

  3. I so want to try this but I have too many projects going already. Maybe when I need a break. I agree that this gen wasn’t as outstandingly unattractive as orange, but I think you made a wise choice with Marmite Lid just because he was the most different from the parents. A fun read, as usual!

Yeah… this is my ‘when I want a break’ game, but I end up playing them a lot because it’s fun.

  4. Okay, I get that marmite is something to put on toast, but what is it exactly? Is it like marmalade? (I am so unlearned! lol)

I think Marmite Lid was a good choice, especially with that brow line. Kellee has some awesome ears for an uglacy!

Oh man Marmite is so NOT like marmalade. It’s like the most savoury thing ever. Do you have Twiglets where you are? They’re the only things I can think of that taste like Marmite. Marmite is delicious 🙂

Oh and I’m pleased with Marmite Lid and Kellee as a combo – I just hope their kids will live up to the promise.

  5. LOL! Nice Rad! I love this legacy. I don’t have the patience for it though, haha. Crossin my fingers for some uglies!

Me too… the pretty townies are breeding faster than the uglies right now…

  6. I thought Kelee was too pretty for your objective. However, maybe her genes will not mix well. The entire yellow gen. was pretty easy on the eye, especially Birds Custard, who I think is actually quite attractive. you should put her up on the Exchange for download. My Fields could use some livening up!

I will put them up on my blog when I get round to it (!). Kellee is perhaps a little pretty in the face but she has vile ears…

If it’s any consolation for Yellow gen, they’re fairly close to making me feel a bit nauseous. 😉

      Awww.

I think Orange gen were much uglier to be fair.

  8. Great names Rad.
I loved the Care Bears when I was little, mum got me a couple of videos with Funshine in.

You could do a Care Bear for most colours really.

So late responding, damn you full time work (but also yay money)…I love your naming scheme and I’m also old enough to remember care-bears, so you get mega awesome points for that.

Isn’t it strange how some of your fuggers actually look quite pretty? That last shot of Bird’s Custard made her look quite attractive (although you do have some hideous sims).

    Anyway thoroughly enjoying it 🙂

I would say a lot of them are ‘interesting’ rather than plain ugly. Hoping green gen will get their mum’s ears and dad’s facial features.

  11. I think the name Marmite Lid has to be one of the best names in Sims *ever*.
